-This page is dedicated to the Simca 1200, 5-door family sedan (hatchtback or runabout) , 5- seater and 5-wheeled counting the spare one...This classic car appeared at the end of the sixties and was one of the firsts front-wheel drive front-transverse engined 5-door family sedans. It was made in France, Spain and other european countries, even it was exported to the U.S.A.; it received different names in its different selling countries: Simca 1200 in Spain, Simca 1204 in the USA and Simca 1100 in the rest of the world.  It was a best-seller with plus than two-milions units sold, thanks majorly to its general conception, good-for-its-time performances and its extraordinary robustness, being sold until the eighties and being the basis for building other success models (with its same engines and platform) :  Simca-Talbot-Matra Rancho, Sunbeam Alpine / Simca 1308 / Chrysler 150 / Talbot 150,  Talbot  Solara, Talbot Horizon, Chrysler Omni / Plymouth Horizon ... The Simca 1200 ended its commercial life being sold under the brand Talbot instead Simca in the difficult last years of that brand's life.

I will thanks any type of cooperation, stuff submit or suggestion by you, don't doubt to contact with me to discuss about this page or about classic cars and motorbikes:
